We're named after the protagonist in "A Message to Garcia," Lieutenant Rowan represents our philosophy: get things done without unnecessary back-and-forth.

When Lieutenant Rowan was tasked with delivering a message to Garcia in Cuba during the Spanish-American War, he didn't ask for detailed instructions or convene a committee meeting—he simply made it happen under challenging circumstances.

Our Story & About the Founder

Rowan Insights was born from a simple observation: strategic research shouldn't require a massive budget or a bloated process.

After 5 years of military precision as a helicopter mechanic in the Marines, 4 years building pricing frameworks and optimization strategies for ProfitWell as it scaled, and 3+ years refining SaaS pricing and go-to-market strategies for Toast's explosive growth, our founder Kyle launched his own consultancy by refusing to play by the industry's bloated rulebook.

The traditional pricing consulting model—with its excessive meetings, unnecessary complexity, and premium pricing—seemed designed to extend billable hours rather than deliver maximum value. There had to be a better way.

Rowan Insights exists because growing SaaS companies deserve pricing expertise without the consultant price tag, and because pricing decisions can't wait for traditional consulting timelines

While at Toast, Kyle drove the pricing strategy, experimentation and implementation for over 5+ new product lines from $0 to $100M ARR. He builds scalable, process-driven systems that don’t just solve pricing problems on paper, but drive successful GTM launches and empower teams across marketing, product, operations and more to execute with clarity and confidence.
